THE GROUP Tirrenia Group is one of the major European shipowning groups. The head company is Tirrenia di Navigazione, which includes also the Adriatica division. The companies CAREMAR, SAREMAR, SIREMAR, TOREMAR are part of the Tirrenia Group of Companies. With its fleet of 90 vessels, each year this Company operates more than 60.000 trips, 4 million miles, 13 million passengers, 2 million cars and 6.5 million lane meters of trucks. THE COMPANY Tirrenia di Navigazione, the heir of the most ancient Italian maritime tradition, connects regularly since 1936 the Mediterranean ports with a continuous evolution of services and offers. THE VESSELS Between 2001 and 2005 Tirrenia has renovated most of its fleet, five of them employed on the Sardinia line with a great capacity and 30 knots of speed. All these cruise ferries are 214 metres long and 26 metres wide with a lightweight of 36 thousand and 40 thousand tons. All are decorated in a uniform way, with the same standards of the cruise vessels which are able to offer much reduced voyage time. The vessels carry between 2.700 and 3.000 passengers and between 900 and 1.085 cars.
